Prof.Xi has published 42 peer-reviewed papers (as first or corresponding author) atrenowned international journals in energy storage field (31 classified in JCR-1stsection, 26 with an IF > 10, 13 recognized as ESI highly cited), with citation > 6000 and H-index= 42 (GoogleScholar,as of April2022). Prof. Xi has published one bookchapter on Li-S batteries (Wiley-VCH). He is one of the leading authors of UK’s 2021 roadmap on lithium sulfur batteries (as 2nd author, amongst 44 specialists from 16 institutions).

Prof.Xi currently serves as the Guest Editor for APL Materials (AmericanInstitute of Physics), Youth Editor for Battery Energy (Wiley-VCH)andChinese Chemical Letters,etc. He has organized multiple international conferences, and served asConference Chair four times, and to date, he has delivered 12 invited oralpresentations at renowned international conferences, including MRS.

Prof. Xi is keen to the transfer of state-of-art research into practical products, he has granted many PCT international invention patents as well as Chinese patents. He was awarded the first prize of CSSA-UK High-level Entrepreneurship Challenge, became champion at UK Entrepreneurship Competition, interviewed by News 30’ (CCTV’s flagship program) in London. He is further recognized with the grand prize of the Dow Sustainability Innovation Student Challenge Award (ranked first)，as well as prize from “Chunhui Cup" Oversea Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition.
